Enjoy your day at Stanley Park by packing a picnic. We have 2 picnic areas to choose from, one located near our Rose Garden; the other near our Children’s Playscape & Athletic Fields. Both picnic areas are first-come, first-served and can’t be reserved.
Further Thoughts: The Yellowstone River Picnic Area Trail was a enjoyable hike in Yellowstone National Park because of the amazing scenery that the hike traverses. There can also be loads of wildlife in this area. When you are looking into the large canyon that contains the Yellowstone River ensure to look at for Ospreys as they often nest in the space. While on the hike we saw two nests with the Ospreys sitting on the eggs within the nest. Carpooling is suggested because of the very restricted parking areas.
