Perhaps our most favorite picnic spot is on large, flat boulders in the midst of a triple waterfall in DuPont State Forest! It’s an easy one-mile hike from the parking area. Take the long staircase right down to the picnic spot. It might be crowded here on weekends and sizzling summer time days. We love going early and having breakfast on summer days before others arrive.
And to make issues worse, the doorway to the picnic space is at an odd angle, turning into it ends up pointing your car in the course you simply came from.
