At the sleeping bear dunes nationwide lakeshore, you may find sand dunes that tower 460 feet above lake Michigan. Hills and forests blanketed in trillium flowers, pine, beech and maple trees. There are more than a hundred miles of designated climbing trails, sleeping bear dunes is a woodman’s wonderland. There are thirteen marked paths on the mainland alone (two islands, north manitou and south manitou, are also included in the park property) that wind by way of forests, shoreline, and dunes.

Just like Galveston, South Padre lies on the Texas Gulf Coast in the deep South. It’s positioned near Brownsville, Texas and is also a preferred vacationer city.
